Jennifer graduated from University of Southern California (USC) in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Dental Hygiene and a minor in Gerontology. After completing her degree, Jennifer was accepted at A.T. Still’s Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH) where she is pursuing dual degrees as a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D.) and a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.). In the midst of her hygiene and dental degrees, she has been developing the Oral Hygiene Initiative, which was established in 2013. The Oral Hygiene Initiative has been her passion project, which came to fruition when it was first introduced to Jesus Garcia Elementary in 2018. In between her studies and her public health efforts, Jennifer travels the world and camps around the U.S.
Rachael graduated from Arizona State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Genetics, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. After working in an industrial algae laboratory, she decided to return to school to earn her D.M.D. degree at ASDOH. Rachael played a vital role in the development of the program’s curriculum and worked tirelessly alongside Holly Platt, a Curriculum Specialist, to make the program easy for teachers to use. Rachael’s strong work ethic and dedication to this cause made her invaluable. In her free time she likes to play with her two dogs and discuss movies with her husband.
Amanda is from Santa Clarita, CA. She completed her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016 at USC and is now in their doctoral program to earn her D.D.S degree in 2020. Amanda lives by the words, “live inductively,” which means to keep honing in and improving every aspect of your life. This was clear throughout the program’s development as she rose to become a key player in the team’s communication and morale. Amanda is also passionate about vaccinations and their importance in public health and hopes to guide families towards safe and effective
preventive health resources. For fun, Amanda enjoys working out and spending time with her fiance.
Olivia is from Los Angeles, CA and graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2013 with a B.S. in Natural Science. She will graduate from USC with her D.D.S. degree in 2019. Upon graduation, she plans to work alongside her uncle in Central California providing dental care to underserved children. Olivia has the ‘kid-intuition’ and can easily break down big ideas into palatable bite-sizes for the students. Although Olivia played the greatest role in the Nutrition month, where students learn the difference between whole and processed foods, her concise and creative use of language can be seen throughout the curriculum. In her free time, Olivia enjoys beach volleyball,
snowboarding, and traveling.
Elena is originally from Russia and moved independently to the U.S. when she was only eighteen. With nothing more than a dream, she worked to put herself through school and graduated from USC with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 2015. She continues her education today, pursuing a D.D.S. degree from USC in the Class of 2019. Elena brings a fun approach to learning and utilizes interactive games to increase participation. Elena hopes to one day
become a Pediatric Dentist with an emphasis in Public Health and Community Outreach. Her bright spirit and positive attitude keep her dedicated to bettering the lives of others.
Nick was born and raised in California and graduated from West Coast University with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 2013. After practicing as a hygienist for three years, he returned to USC in pursuit of his D.D.S. degree. Nick’s passion for dentistry is constantly growing and public health is a field of particular interest. As a healthcare professional, Nick loves to give back to the community, often volunteering at events, such as the annual 3-day Care Harbor event in Los Angeles, CA where he provides free dental cleanings to underserved populations. In his free time, Nick enjoys checking out new restaurants and then working it off through snowboarding, bouldering, and swimming.
Lillian is originally from Montreal, Quebec and has done her fair share of traveling. She graduated in 2015 from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. degree in Global Health and Environment. After studying abroad in London and working at a medical device company, she returned to dental school to pursue her doctoral degree. She is currently working towards her D.M.D./M.P.H. degrees at ASDOH. Lillian’s global perspective on health education promoted the creation of a culturally sensitive program. Her organization skills and attention to detail were integral in the fine tuning and implementation of the program. In her free time, Lillian likes to explore new places and restaurants and visit friends in Brazil.

Wendy has strong ties to Rosarito and her Mexican heritage. She speaks fluent Spanish and spends every summer with family on the Baja Coast. Wendy first attended Cal Poly Pomona and earned her B.S. in Biology in 2012. She then went on to earn an additional B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016 from USC. Currently, she is both a student and a faculty member at USC’s Ostrow School of Dentistry; simultaneously completing her Masters Degree in Dental Hygiene and working as a clinical professor in the Periodontal Department. Wendy has a passion for educating youth and hopes to make life-impacting changes by altering how families perceive health.
Natesha is from Sacramento, CA and has earned B.S. degrees in both Clinical Nutrition and Dental Hygiene. In 2014 she started her M.P.H. from the University of San Francisco and hopes to complete this after she graduates from USC’s Ostrow School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. in 2020. Nateesha has a fine understanding of how to best implement evidence-based practices in public health programs and the passion to accompany it. Her big heart and caring ways shine through in her writing. In her free time, Nateesha enjoys experiencing new cultures and trying out new fashion trends.
